| USCA (March 12, 2009) - U.S. Cattlemen’s Association (USCA) is pleased to announce its selection of Chase Adams as its “Broadcaster of the Year.” Chase Adams is the Farm and Ranch Director and host of Five State Live for KBHB 810 am Radio in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Jess Peterson, USCA's Executive Vice President presented Chase with the award at the recent Black Hills Stock Show, held in Rapid City, SD.
"Chase provides exactly what rural America's farmers and ranchers need most - objective and timely agriculture information. What impresses me most about Chase is his knowledge of, and passion for, American agriculture. Anyone who listens to Chase’s program immediately recognizes his commitment to both promoting agriculture and striving to keep producers up to speed with the latest agriculture issues. Things change fast in Washington D.C. and radio is an effective method of communication that enables farmers and ranchers to get the latest information,” stated Peterson.
“USCA relies on leaders like Chase to inform and encourage farmers and ranchers to get involved in the policies that affect this industry,” continued Peterson. “We are proud to name Chase as the first recipient of USCA’s Broadcaster of the Year.”
Jon Wooster USCA President stated, “USCA greatly appreciates the Chase's work. Associations work to lobby Congress and inform the countryside about the issues, but media personalities like Chase are invaluable in that process. We tip our hats to Chase Adams for doing an outstanding job and wish him many more years of great media broadcasting.” |
