Kimberly Stone Kimberly Stone, Region III Director

Swing Riders keep the main body of the trail herd together and moving forward.  It’s not an easy task in the best of conditions and becomes even more challenging when the wind begins to stir and thunder begins rumbling in the distance, punctuated by lightning. USCA’s Region III Director Kimberly Stone knows all about Swing Riding.

Kimberly hails from Capitan, New Mexico, in the south central part of the Land of Enchantment, where she helps manage a fifth generation family ranching operation.  At Stone Land and Cattle they raise registered Quarter Horses, cattle and operate a fee hunting program.  A Cum Laude graduate of New Mexico State University with a major in agricultural economics and business and a minor in marketing, Kimberly has extensive experience in the private and public sector in nearly every aspect of marketing and economics, and she puts her many extraordinary talents to work for her community and industry.

She serves as a Director and the Membership Committee Chair for the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association; as Secretary/Treasurer for the Lincoln/Chaves County Livestock Coalition; is a member of the Lincoln County Junior Livestock Sale Committee; is President-Elect of the Corriente Cowbelles; serves as Executive Vice President of Ag Works Solutions, Washington, DC working with clients around the globe;  is a member of the New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau; and serves as the U.S. Cattlemen’s Association’s Region III Director.

Kimberly is no stranger to Capitol Hill.  She served as Special Assistant to Bill Hawks, former Under Secretary of Marketing and Regulatory Programs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and she served as a Legislative Aide to the late Congressman Joe Skeen of New Mexico in both his New Mexico and Washington, DC offices.

U.S. Cattlemen are very fortunate to have Kimberly ridin’ swing on their behalf.
