The person riding point sets the pace for the herd and provides something for them to follow. Often imitated; never duplicated, he’s ridden point for U.S. ranchers for more than a decade. 

Leo McDonnell and his wife, Sam, operate Midland Bull Test near Columbus, MT.

His life’s work has been dedicated to the interests of U.S. cattle producers and doing what’s right for them.  From the Oval Office to the coast of California, he’s logged millions of miles representing the industry.  Along the way he’s forged friendships in every nook and cranny of America - something he considers one of his life’s blessings.

McDonnell serves as Director Emeritus for USCA, holding a life-time seat on its board of directors.   His presence on the USCA board serves as a beacon of guidance and perseverance, of taking the “high road” as he calls it, and ensuring the cattle industry presents itself in a solution-oriented, respectful manner that commands respect in return.
